What Pretrial Services does
Pretrial Services is a court-based function serving individuals who have been charged with a felony crime and are awaiting disposition of their case. The program assists the court in making informed, individualized decisions regarding pretrial release and conditions while promoting court appearance, community safety, and compliance with court-ordered conditions.

Uses evidence-based assessment to help identify an appropriate level of supervision.

Supports compliance through individualized and least-restrictive interventions.

Connects participants with appropriate monitoring and supportive services.

Individualized support with community safety in mind
The mission of Pretrial Services is to provide the court with accurate and objective information, conduct evidence-based assessments, and provide appropriate supervision, monitoring, and supportive services to individuals awaiting disposition of their cases.
Through individualized and least-restrictive interventions, Pretrial Services promotes court appearance, compliance with court conditions, community safety, and equitable access to justice.

Assessment, testing, and monitoring contacts that may be part of a court-ordered release plan.
JusticePoint
Provides risk assessment information to the court and helps the pretrial program determine an appropriate level of supervision after release.
Compass
Provides drug and alcohol testing, alcohol monitoring by tether or remote breath, and GPS monitoring. Contact Compass if testing is ordered within 24 hours of release or monitoring is ordered.
Home Confinement, Inc.
Provides electronic monitoring services, including alcohol monitoring by tether or remote breath and GPS monitoring.
TRI-CAP
Provides residential treatment for individuals referred by Pretrial or Probation for Opiate and Methamphetamine Specific Programming (OMSP). Those referred participate in 150 days of intensive residential treatment, including substance use treatment and cognitive restructuring.
Choosing a monitoring provider: Clients may use either Compass or Home Confinement, Inc. for electronic monitoring services.
